How Do You Move On?
How do you move on when you've lost your brother & father to suicide within two-weeks? For seventeen-year-old Ally Jean Collins—the answer is, you don't. Not until you find hope within the big-hearted new substitute at your high school. He's too old for you, but nothing has made any damn sense since you lost everything.
Through meeting him and falling head-long in love, you meet another man you believe to be an arch-nemesis. He turns out to be your biological father and best friend. So, what's next?
For Ally Jean, the answer is resolution, but it isn't located in the jail cell she ends up locked in after attacking her mother in front of the Po-dunk Paradox PD. That's where the beginning of Four Letter Words: Act II finds our reluctant heroine, & that's where you guys come in.
The first half of my novel was published in January of 2021, as a way to get my mind back after quitting alcohol on December 5th, 2018. I didn't merely quit: I had multiple organ failure, and am on medication to this day to protect my brain function. While I can't say I'm as sharp as I was, I'm more committed than ever and deeply identify with my main character in this book series. It began as an exercise in boredom relief, but ended up saving my life.
Releasing these books professionally means the world to me, & does wonders for them being picked up for distribution through larger channels like Barnes & Noble, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. This fundraiser is 2/3rds the publication cost of Four Letter Words: Act I, because I am cutting every corner while still paying a professional editor & cover artist for their hard work. None of this goes into my pocket: every cent goes into releasing my life's work.
If you'd like a sneak preview of Act II, please head to http://bit.ly/FLWOnVella to feast your eyes on what you'd be supporting with your donation.
Thank you for even reading this far.
Love Always,
Haley BCU
